Please join us for a benefit concert in support of the 2012 Toronto Summer Music Festival and Academy, featuring the extraordinary New Orford String Quartet and award-winning Canadian cellist Shauna Rolston.
Hailed for their "ravishingly beautiful tone" as well as their "extraordinary technical skills and musicianship" the members of the New Orford String Quartet are all former or current principal players in the Montreal and Toronto Symphony Orchestras, including Jonathan Crow, the TSO's celebrated new concertmaster.
In their inaugural performance at Walter Hall the newly-formed quartet will perform Beethoven's sublime last String Quartet, Op. 135. Shauna Rolston then joins the group for what is sure to be an unforgettable performance of Schubert's noble String Quintet Op. 163 for two cellos.
Reconnect with summer friends after the concert at a champagne reception with the artists.
