Queen Elisabeth competitio​n - Laureate compositio​n competitio​n 2012


French Composer Michel Petrossian has won the the Queen Elisabeth International Grand Prize for Composition 2012 with his concerto "In the wake of Ea"
His prize of 10.000 eur is presented by the Sabam

The laureate work will be performed in the final of the 2013 Queen Elisabeth Piano Competition, from 27 May until 1st June, at the Brussels Centre for Fine Arts by the 12 finalists with the National Orchestra of Belgium, conducted by Marin Alsop.
The 12 performances will be broadcast live on radio, television and internet and the work will be released on CD.

Hooshyar Khayam: Before the Dream is Over
Yigit Kolat: Concerto for piano and Orchestra
Arthur Lavandier: Concerto pour piano et orchestre
Herrmann Torsten: Konzert für Klavier und Orchester
Nils Van der Plancken: Garden of Sorrows
They each receive a prize of 1.500 eur, presented by the
National Lottery
