MONTREAL, May 2, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Montreal is joining the worldwide movement that is Global Lunch Beat, this May 6, 2014 at Place des Festivals. The only rule: if it's your first time at Lunch Beat, you MUST dance.
Offered in collaboration with TP1 and the Association des restaurateurs de rue du Québec , with support provided by the Partenariat du Quartier des spectacles and the Ville-Marie Borough, this first outdoor Lunch Beat of the year will take place in the heart of Montreal's Place des Festivals, at the corner of Ste-Catherine and Jeanne-Mance. RILLY GUILTY, one of the most popular DJs on the Montreal electronic music scene, will provide musical inspiration.
The Lunch Beat concept is always the same: let's get together over the lunch hour and dance. The spirit of this international movement, which started inSweden, can be summarized by the following:
- Everyone is invited, but if you do come, you have to dance!
- Lunch Beat offers dancers killer beats and a take-away lunch.
For the modest sum of $10
(plus taxes and service charges), participants will receive a lunch box prepared by one of four local food trucks: Pas de cochon dans mon salon
, La Panthère mobile
, Grumman 78
or Ô Sœurs volantes
. Tickets are sold online (see link below), but if you decide to join us on the day itself, you're welcome to purchase a meal from the food trucks, which will remain on site.
