Toronto – Take a tip from our in-house jazz pro and Artistic Director, Josh Grossman, as he recommends his Top 10 must-see concerts at this year’s TD Toronto Jazz Festival, which kicks off its 28th anniversary later this week. Let us help you navigate your way through the impressive list of Grammy and Juno Award Winners, musical geniuses, virtuosos and ground breaking artists who are changing the face of jazz.

1. Keith Jarrett – A piano master performing in a rare solo show

2. Bobby McFerrin – A legendary voice artist in an intimate setting
Friday, June 27 - Nathan Phillips Square, 8pm (Soul Nannies opens)

3. Mehliana – Brad Mehldau and Mark Guiliana are two of the jazz world’s most exciting artists (with Stanley Clarke closing the show)

4. Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society – An important band on the international jazz scene, this band features fantastic writing and great musicians

Tuesday, June 24 - Nathan Phillips Square, 8pm (Brandi Disterheft Quartet opens)

An honourable mention goes to the Masters of Mainstream at KAMA, as well as the series at the Home Smith Bar, located in The Old Mill. Featuring the return of beloved vocalist June Garber, she performs with leading vocal lights (Jackie Richardson, Amanda Martinez, Barbra Lica, and Melissa Stylianou) backed by the Russ Little Quartet.
