Why not spend this winter break enjoying music with family? BMO Financial Group presents the 11th annualSemaine de la musique JMC. The event is organized by Jeunesses Musicales Canada, in association with the City of Montreal's Accès culture network.
From February 28 to March 8, choose from 75 concerts and music workshops for young audiences across Greater Montreal and the surrounding area. Admission is free for most activities, to be held at Montreal's Maison de la culture, a number of libraries, as well as performance venues.

JMC and its partners invite budding young musicians and families to attend our fun creative music workshops. Learn how to make a musical instrument out of recycled materials at a Do-it-yourself Musicworkshop, or try out body percussion and rhythms of the world with a seasoned instructor at our Body Beatsworkshop. This year, JMC House will be open to the public all week long in the heart of Plateau Mont-Royal, with close to 20 free workshops!
Join us for any of 10 concerts produced by JMC, and experience music in an exciting, theatrical way.Among others, see our latest production Les puces de Stradivarius, a theatrical concert featuring a lively set of string solos, duets and trios. Learn about the wondrous art of violinmaking as you travel back to a time of trickery, masquerade, and refined music.
Contest BMO Financial Group is proud to give youngsters age 3 to 14 who attend a Semaine de la musique activity a chance to win a JMC Young Audiences Concert at their school, daycare centre, or CPE! Jeunesses Musicales Canada
For over 65 years, Jeunesses Musicales du Canada has been committed to promoting and disseminating classical music, especially among young people. Each season, JMC presents over 650 concerts and 630 workshops featuring more than 120 artists in some 200 schools, concert halls and performance venues in Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada.
