One Fire Movement presents
A Song for Peace
Campaign Launch July 29th
With a portion of the proceeds going to Amnesty
Toronto – One Fire Movement is an arts based organization that helps promote
positivity and awareness via photography, video, music, clothing and events in
support of charity organizations with a mission to help bring about global
peace and unity with awareness through the arts.
The One Day song was recorded with seven Toronto based artists including:
Ania Soul, Brendan Albert, Jessica
Speziale, Dean West, Alissa Vox Raw, Rory O'Hearn, and Tony Roost with a message of world peace and a portion of the songs
proceeds going toward Amnesty
International and the fight for human rights.
Founder of One Fire Movement Tony
Roost is a singer songwriter and percussion player with a love and appreciation
for the drums of the world. He is comfortable playing Djembe’s, Bongo’s,
Conga’s and Tabla’s and through his travels he has grown to respect the
beautiful native cultural instruments and tries to incorporate them into his
music. Tony describes his music as “Songs about the human struggle, getting
lost and finding your way back”. The songs are stories about the journey to
become the artist and about setting free a fire inside all of us. His message
and that of the One Fire Movement is simple. ”WE ARE ONE” and he’s on a mission
to deliver it to the world!
The song One Day was recorded in Kensington Market at Pawn Shop Studios by
Juno award winning producer Mike Langford. The music video was shot over four Pedestrian
Sunday dates last summer in Kensington Market.
The song and video will be
released on July 29th and with a campaign titled One Day Starts Now. The
campaign is social awareness project meant to engage people into thinking about
what they can do to help change the world or do something for good by submitting
a video on social media (Twitter and/or Facebook). One Fire Movement will be interviewing people
at Pedestrian Sunday happening on the last Sunday of the month in Kensington Market (August 30 / Sept 27th from 1-5pm) with a video team gathering a response from the
music and message.
One Day chorus:
One Day, we're going to see
That we're building a mystery
That we're One tribe, One family
and one day soon, we'll live in
